When prompted, grant KeePass2Android access to your Dropbox/Google Drive, then select the KDBX you saved from your PC in the previous section. Select ‘Open file…’ and then Dropbox or Google Drive (the “KP2A” method is recommended if using Dropbox, as this gives KeePass2Android permission to the Dropbox/Apps/KeePass2Android folder only). Install the open source KeePass2Android (Kindle Fire and Blackberry 10 users must sideload). Open KeePass and save your KDBX database to your cloud folder (“Dropbox/Apps/Keepass2Android/” is recommended if using Dropbox – more on this below). Install KeePass 2.x (Professional Edition). Install Google Drive or Dropbox (sign up with via my Dropbox referral URL for a bonus 0.5 GB of storage). This will give you omni-directional sync of your secure passwords over any combination and number of just about any mobile or desktop operating system.
You could subscribe to a cloud service like LastPass or RoboForm, or you could D.I.Y. with Dropbox or Google Drive and some free mobile apps. As memorable passwords are rather ineffective now and account databases are being breached on a daily basis, you’re using a password manager to generate complex 10+ length passwords, right? But what if you’re out and about on your smartphone?
